Who we are
We are Tim and Elli, two people motivated and passionated to create something meaningful and to support a positive change in this world. We love to use our hands and just start transforming dreams into reality. Tim’s hands are mainly transforming wood and other natural materials into houses. Elli meanwhile is digging her hands deep into the soil and giving every plant some extra love.
About Tim
Tim used to work as a carpenter at the carpentry called „Grünspecht e.G“ that specialized itself in organic buildings with wood, straw and clay. He has a lot of experience in restoring old houses. With this, he definitely knows how to improvise and find solutions for new challenges. Through his apprenticeship in clay work he found a new passion. Everyone who knows him can tell how often and passionated he can talk about clay as a natural building material. He definitely is into numbers and facts and can tell you in detail, what and how much we need to build sustainable. Besides building he loves to surf and spending time with friends.
Without Elli he would never slow down and enjoy the little things.
About Elli
Elli finished her bachelor in forestry and environment. During that time she worked for about two years in a landscape design company. There she was planting and maintaining plants in private gardens or parks. Meanwhile she developed a passion not only for whole forests but for every single tree, taking care of them, even if its necessary to climb into the canopy. Her passion for organic gardening and healthy ecosystems brought her to permaculture. There she loves to dive into all the interconnections from soil to plants, and everything you can think of in an ecosystem.
Without Tim she would forget about time and would probably never live in a house.
Together we builded the inside of our Van, where we now live in for about 1 1/2 years, we builded a tinyhouse on a trailer, made the Permaculture Design Course worked on permaculture projects and now found this forgotten property – Granxa Galicia.
But all of our former and future projects are nothing without the amazing people that surround us. Together so much more is possible!
We wanna put together professions, curiosity and passions to create a beautiful and ecological place. A place that will be home for us, for other people, animals, a huge variety of plants, for living organisms in the soil…
… a place transforming into a healthy circling ecosystem called home.
